Serving patients in Virginia and Arizona, Dr. Lisa Kearney is a licensed Naturopathic Physician with a strong drive to personally connect with her patients and to treat them from a holistic perspective. Dr. Kearney is passionate about her clients' well-being and consistently utilizes her combined knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine in her practice.  

Her interest in medicine started while she was studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia, working alongside doctors to create tools and devices to improve medical care. However, after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree she discovered that her place was not in the lab creating medical tools, but alongside the patients walking with them in their journey to health.

She attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ where she focused her studies on Chinese medicine and energetic medicines while continuing to enjoy the complex sciences that describe the workings of the physical body.

After graduation in 2014, Dr. Lisa opened up a practice in Carlsbad, NM, which received great support from the community and thrived in a region that had little to no natural medicine. Her love of the community inspired her to maintain that practice after moving to Flagstaff at the end of 2017. Three years later, after the pandemic hit, she decided to move back East to settle down near family and friends, and is currently opening a practice in Charlottesville, VA, where she plans to stay.

Starting in January 2021, Blue Ridge Natural Medicine LLC is open and accepting patients in Charlottesville and the surrounding area. Although Dr. Lisa is a family practice physician and accepts patients from all walks of life, she specializes in women’s medicine, gastrointestinal disorders, mental health, and chronic disease.
